Natures Hoodia Formula

Nature’s Hoodia Formula
[Weight Management]. Used for centuries by the San
tribesmen of the Kalahari Desert to reduce hunger,
Hoodia gordonii was first studied by the South
African national laboratory in a study of indigenous
foods. When researchers fed this succulent plant to
animals, the animals began to lose weight. After
years of study, scientists now theorize that Hoodia
appears to affect the brains of laboratory animals
by making the stomach feel full and reducing the
desire to eat.
Nature’s Sunshine has combined Hoodia gordonii
with other natural ingredients that may help in your
weight-management efforts. Nature’s Hoodia
Supplement Formula
contains a blend of Hoodia gordonii, Caralluma
fimbriata, dry apple cider vinegar, Garcinia
cambogia, l-carnitine, gymnema leaves, chromium,
marshmallow root and psyllium hulls.
Take 1–2 capsules between meals.

Ingredients Explained: Natures
Hoodia Formula contains authentic Hoodia gordonii
from South Africa. More than 20 species of
hoodia grow throughout the world. Although
other species are similar, they may not exhibit the
same appetite-suppressing qualities. Hoodia
has been used for centuries by tribesmen to help
hunters endure long expeditions without food.
This succulent plant is native to the Kalahari
desert. Now, people everywhere are beginning
to see benefits of hoodia as a nutritional
supplement. See
hoodia research study from the national
library of medicine.
Like Hoodia, Caralluma
fimbriata is traditionally used in India as a
famine food to help curb the desire to eat. It has
been used safely for centuries and is believed to
interfere with the brain's perception of hunger.
A 4-week clinical
study of Caralluma fimbriata (pdf file) revealed it
exhibit a "significant reduction" in bodyweight
compared to placebo. It was also stated to be
"well-tolerated" and had a long history of safe use
with no adverse effects
Dry Apple cider vinegar.
Apple cider vinegar may be useful in curbing
appetite and well as improve glucose tolerance. See

from Arizona state university.1
Garcinia cambogia.
Hydroxycitric acid, the active component in Garcinia
cambogia, may help in the weight loss battle by
playing a role in fat metabolism and fatty acid synthesis.
Garcinia research from JAMA
indicates that the constituent Hydroxycitric
acid suppresses appetite and
induces weight loss.2
L-carnitine. The body
uses l-carnitine to shuttle long-chain fatty acids
across the membrane barrier into the mitochondria,
where they are used in the production of cellular
energy.
Chromium. Chromium
may influence insulin function in the body, helping
to maintain normal glucose tolerance levels.
Chromium may also help to metabolize fat.
Gymnema. Gymnema
may slow the absorption of sugar in the intestines.
