Prostate help for middle-aged
and older men
BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) is enlargement
of the prostate gland caused by DHT (dihydrotestosterone
- an active form of testosterone). It is known to
bind in the part of the prostate surrounding the
urethra. BPH affects most men as they become
older. Incomplete bladder emptying creates urinary
problems including weak flow and frequent
urination.
Men's Formula combines concentrated extracts of
four herbs that have well-researched benefits for
the prostate and other glands. They balance
hormone levels, help to prevent inflammation and
swelling, and improve circulatory and urinary
function.
Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant (3 times as
potent as beta-carotene) and is more concentrated
in the prostate than any other carotenoid.
Research: Saw Palmetto(23 clinical trials);
Massive evidence in double-blind clinical trials
has shown that the liposterolic extract of saw
palmetto berries is a safe and effective treatment
for the symptoms of BPH.1 A recent
review of studies, published in JAMA, concluded
that saw palmetto extract was as effective as the
drug finasteride (Proscar®) in the treatment of
BPH.2
