Sinus Support EF - Herbal Sinus
Supplement Notes
For improved sinus and respiratory function
(ephedra-free)
This unique herbal formula supports nasal
passage health and supplies nutrients for
proper respirator function. It provides
sinus help for hay fever, allergies, itching
eyes, sinus infections; and can dilate
bronchial passages and shrink swollen
tissues.
Synephrine from immature orange peel
provides respiratory support in a milder
fashion than ephedra. It helps antagonize
the action of histamines to bring relief
from seasonal allergies.
Best used for temporary relief. Add
cleansing and digestive aids to work on the
sources of allergies and sinus discomfort.
Research: Horehound contains a number
of constituents, including alkaloids,
flavonoids, diterpenes, and volatile oils.1
The major active constituent in horehound is
marrubiin, which is thought to be
responsible for the expectorant action of
the herb. In addition, marrubiin contributes
to the increase in the flow of saliva and
gastric juice.2
These actions likely explain the
long-standing use of horehound as a cough
suppressant and expectorant as well as a
bitter digestive tonic.
