Skeletal system nutrition; A formula for
making bones
An advanced connective tissue formula with the
nutrients that the body needs to build a
healthy structural system including bones,
muscles, ligaments, tendons, hair, skin and
nails. Skeletal Strength also contains
digestive aids for increased mineral
assimilation.
Skeletal Strength is a balanced mix of
vitamins, minerals, digestive acid and herbs.
The calcium, magnesium and manganese are in
the form of amino acid chelates
to further improve absorption. Trace minerals
boron, copper and zinc were added to support a
healthy bone matrix and other connective
tissue.
Research: Relative efficacy of amino
acid chelates of calcium was compared in one
study against other forms of calcium--
citrate, carbonate, and MCHC(bonemeal).1
In that trial, the amino acid chelate showed
the best absorption. Besides how to take
calcium supplements, scientists have also been
studying when to take them. Supplementing
calcium in the evening appears better for
osteoporosis prevention than taking calcium in
the morning, based on the circadian rhythm of
bone loss. In order to not increase the risk
of forming kidney stones, most doctors tell
people to take calcium supplements only with
food.
