Stomach Comfort
This pH-balancing formula provides natural ingredients to help nutritionally support digestion in times of occasional stomach upset. It contains calcium carbonate, alginic acid (from kelp, protects the mucus lining of the esophagus), wintergreen oil, papaya fruit (aids digestion), slippery elm bark (soothes the digestive tract), licorice root concentrate (aids digestion) and ginger (promotes digestion).

Stomach Comfort may help normal body processes in soothing occasional acid indigestion, heartburn or gas. Can also be used for pH balancing.

Antacid Help for Heartburn and Reflux

Stomach Comfort was formulated to temporarily relieve occasional heartburn, upset stomach or acid reflux.

Calcium carbonate is alkaline and neutralizes stomach acid. Alginic acid is converted to sodium alginate, which helps protect the mucus lining of the esophagus against acid irritation as do licorice and slippery elm.

Consider adding Gastro Health for more prolonged irritations.

Antacids should not be used continuously; calcium carbonate relieves uncomfortable symptoms but can contribute to additional long-term digestive and chronic health problems.

To its credit, this antacid product does not contain aluminum. It adds herbs to stimulate the production of digestive enzymes and to soothe and heal the stomach lining.

Research: The papaya constituent papain was found to “reduce gastric acid secretion induced by histamines”.
