Triple Relief - Natural Pain Relief
Supplement Notes
Relief of inflammation and pain
The COX-2 enzyme participates in certain
inflammatory processes. Substances that can
inhibit or suppress this enzyme can reduce
inflammation and pain. Nexrutine® is a
patent-pending over-the-counter
pharmaceutical extract from the
phellodendron tree. It is a proprietary
product of Next Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Unlike
COX-2 inhibitor drugs, it inhibits the gene
expression of COX-2. It does not have the
same damaging side-effect on the stomach
lining as many COX-2 inhibitors because it
does not also suppress the “good” COX-1
enzyme.
Willow bark provides salicins such as
salicylic acid (aspirin). Aspirin works by
inhibiting the formation of the body’s
prostaglandin messenger chemicals, many of
which contribute to the body’s inflammatory
response. Similarly, boswellic acids inhibit
the production of leukotrienes; additional
body mediators of inflammation.
Triple Relief can be dramatically effective
but should be used with awareness.
Research: White Willow (56 studies, 9
clinical trials). One trial found that a
combination herbal product including 100 mg
willow bark taken for two months improved
functioning via pain relief in people with
osteoarthritis.1 Another trial
found that 1360 mg of willow bark extract
per day (delivering 240 mg of salicin) for
two weeks was effective in treating pain
associated with knee and/or hip
osteoarthritis.2
