Aloe Vera,
Whole Leaf - Liquid Supplement Notes
A more concentrated form of aloe
The whole leaf (including the green part)
provides a greater concentration of
mucopolysacharides (7,000 mg/liter) than
regular filleted aloe vera. It is an even
more potent form of the classic soothing,
healing juice. Joan Vandergriff used
whole leaf aloe for her ulcerative
colitis. She was instrumental in bringing
this product to NSP.
A new process is used so that the
aloin from the green part is removed
because it is a violent purgative. This
should make it safe for use by just about
anyone.
To use internally, mix 1 ounce in 8 ounces
of pure water.
Aloe Vera, especially the concentrated
form, builds the immune system and is
helpful for degenerative conditions.
Research: Aloe juice has
anti-inflammatory activity and been used
by some doctors for people with Ulcerative
colitis. In a double-blind study of people
with mildly to moderately active
ulcerative colitis, supplementation with
aloe resulted in a complete remission or
an improvement in symptoms in 47% of
cases, compared with 14% of those given a
placebo (a statistically significant
difference).1 No significant
side effects were seen. The amount of aloe
used was 100 ml (approximately 3.5 ounces)
twice a day for four weeks.
